Rene Lopez aka R-LO a certified 2nd degree black belt under IBJJF has been practicing Jiu-Jitsu for over 14+ years. Born in San Francisco, CA is a longtime resident of Las Vegas, NV. He was introduced to Jiu-Jitsu by a longtime friend Morris Ayala, and has trained under Bryce Moore, Cameron Diffley, Sonny Nohara, Robert Drysdale, Caio Terra, and Walter Vital. After receiving his black belt, Rene, taught at Dunham Bjj and Vills JJ.
He has competed throughout his career on Domestic, National, and International levels including Asia Open, European Championships, South American Championships, Mexican Open, Abu Dhabi World Championship, Pan Americans, and The World Championships. In 2018, under Flograppling, in the Adult Light feather Weight division he was ranked #9 in the World. He is known for his World class “Guard”, resilient drive, and a never-ending sense of improvement.
